I HAVEN’T WORKED OUT IN A LONG TIME. CAN I STILL DO THE WORKOUT?

Yes, absolutely! FIIT CITY is geared toward ALL levels of fitness, and everyone is encouraged to go at their own pace. We recommend signing up for a free* introductory class, then discussing any thoughts or questions you may have regarding the workout or your fitness goals with our experienced coaches before class.

IF I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH A CERTAIN PART OF MY BODY, CAN I STILL DO THE WORKOUT?

Yes! Our coaches are trained to provide alternative options for each exercise on the floor, in addition to offering low-impact turf flooring for lower body injuries or orthopedic restrictions.

I’M PREGNANT. CAN I STILL DO THE WORKOUT?

If you have already been taking FIIT CITY classes and become pregnant, check with your doctor first. Our heart rate-based monitored training is a perfect way to keep an eye on your intensity as you progress through your pregnancy. If you are a few months into your pregnancy and haven’t been doing any sort of fitness training, wait until after you have your baby and we can help get you back into shape!

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE AT FIIT CITY?

Our workout room has a variety of equipment, including suspension straps, squat racks, rowers, punching bags and floor equipment, including dumbbells, benches, medicine balls, BOSU trainers, battle ropes, power sled and much more.

WHAT IS MYZONE?

Myzone is our heart-rate monitoring technology. It is worn across the chest or on the arm. Members have the unique experience of seeing real-time, personalized data during their workout, enabling them to monitor their performance and push themselves to new limits. After class, they can then monitor their improvements through emailed results and by using the Myzone mobile app.

WHAT IS EPOC?

The physiological theory behind our FIIT CITY workout is known as “Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption,” or EPOC. Our 1-hour workout is designed to produce 12 minutes or more of intensities at 84% or higher of maximum heart rate. This program design produces a workout “afterburn” effect, which is an increased metabolic rate for up to 36 hours after the workout. This leads to higher calorie burn after, not just during, the workout.

WHAT DO THE 6 ZONES MEAN, AND WHY ARE THE ZONES SO IMPORTANT?

FIIT CITY is a 6-zone, heart-rate-based interval training class that includes both cardio and strength training. During a class, members focus on Zones 3 (challenging but doable), 4 (uncomfortable) and 5 (breathless and challenging). These zones are individually calculated for each FIIT CITY member. The classes are designed to produce 12 minutes or more in Zones 4 (green) and 5 (yellow), combined, during the workout. The goal of this is to achieve EPOC (Excess Post-Exercise Oxygen Consumption).

HOW EARLY SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR MY FIRST FIIT CITY CLASS?

We ask that you arrive 30 minutes prior to your first class so we can go over your fitness goals with you, get you set up on our heart-rate monitoring system and introduce you to your fitness coach.

WHAT DO I NEED FOR CLASS?

You need enclosed running shoes, athletic shorts/pants, athletic top, towel and a water bottle.

HOW DO I BOOK A CLASS?

Booking workouts is extremely convenient. You can reserve your spot for a class through your Mindbody mobile app or Book online by going to our website and social media outlets. You may also call the studio to reserve your spot.

HOW MUCH DOES A FIIT CITY MEMBERSHIP COST?

We offer four different membership plans: Basic, Focused, Committed and Lifestyle. The Basic plan offers 4 classes a month, the Focused plan offers 8 classes a month, the Committed plan offers 12 classes a month and our Lifestyle plan offers unlimited classes. Our rates and fees vary based on studio location, but your first class is FREE* (Certain restrictions apply — contact your local studio for details.)

HOW CAN I BECOME A FIIT CITY COACH?

DOES FIIT CITY HAVE WORKOUTS FOR BEGINERS?

Our workouts are designed for all fitness levels. No matter where you are in your fitness journey, our fitness coaches can help tailor your workout to help you feel comfortable while achieving the results you want.

HOW DO I CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP?

FIIT CITY has a 30-day membership cancellation policy. You can cancel your membership at any time by completing a Cancellation Request form at your home studio or by providing another form of written cancellation request by mail, email or other method delivered to your home studio address or email address.

Any payments due within 30 days of receipt of your cancellation request will be charged as scheduled, but no further EFTs will be processed. You have 30 days from the effective date of your cancellation to use any unused class sessions.

IF I DON’T USE ALL MY CLASSES THIS MONTH, WILL THE BALANCE ROLL OVER TO THE NEXT CLASS?

Classes do not carry over from one month to the next, so be sure to get all your classes in. Any unused monthly class sessions will expire at the end of your monthly membership period.
